About Keystone Custom Fishing Rods
I love building custom fishing rods for anglers who have an eye for craftsmanship and quality. Not being able to afford a custom rod was the reason I started building custom rods. Reading Dale Clemens book, a forefather of custom rod building, gave me my foundation to build on. Now building rods for 15+ years, you can see the quality and detailed craftsmanship that goes into every rod that leaves my shop.Fishing opportunities were abundant for me growing up having a cottage on Deep Creek Lake Md. and an uncle that also has a cottage on Indian Lake Pa. I also enjoy fishing the Lake Erie region, whether float fishing for steelhead, drifting for smallmouth or trolling for walleyes, I've done it all.
Saltwater is what I love to fish the most. Taking many surf fishing trips to the Outer Banks NC, Virginia Beach, and New Jersey has allowed testing and refinement of my surf rods to highest quality. Now living on the Gulf coast of Florida gives me many more fishing/rod building opportunities.
Having fished all these different locations gives me the ability to offer many styles of high quality custom fishing rods.
